3D printed seat belt holder CAD model

seatbelt holder model in fusion

I took some measurements of the broken holder using calipers and sketching the result on paper. To produce the data for 3D printing I then made a model using Autodesk Fusion. You can obtain a free version for non-commercial use. I produced a STL file from this model. The beta layout a company that offers PCB production over www.pcb-pool.com also offers a service to make 3D parts in plastic from a STL file under the link beta-prototypes.com. I have wanted to try this out for a while. So I ordered a couple of parts produced with a laser sintering process from the site. Total price was about 70 EURO including changing the colour to black rather than the standard white material. If you want to see how they turned out see the next article.
